NS train 225 slows to a stop at 8th avenue to get fuel before being handed over to the KCS for the trip west.

I heard that the NS 1070 Wabash unit was leading NS 225 heading West towards California. With today being an absolute perfect day weather-wise, I drove down to Rankin to try and catch it.

Snow in Alabama is a rare thing but 12 inches of snow is nearly unheard of this far south. It was fun to get out and get a few snow shots because who knows when this will happen again!!!
