One of the notoriously heavy gravel trains which delighted railfans is heading east in the big yard.

One of the units most unloved by its owners and crews, always first to go into storage or out on lease or so it seemed, they sure sounded good anyway.

CR 6571, a former Erie Lackawanna unit, leads a B36-7 on a westbound manifest passing beneath the signal bridge at MP245.5 just east of Bennington. Fuji 100HG negative film.
