The 75 cm gauge VFCO was headquartered in Sao Joao del Rei, northwest of Rio. I hate to call any railroad "cute", but the VFCO has to be about the "cutest" working railway I ever saw. The dimunit... (more)
As far as I can tell this must be the first RCO because even when I blow the picture up on the screen there is still no sign of anyone in the cab.
The 2'6" VFCO must have been one of the the most colorful railways in Latin America. I understand the terminal is Sao Joao and a few miles of track have been preserved as a museum.
