BN 9576 performed duties as the Alvord helper for most of November 2003. Normally the motor is kept at the bottom of the hill at Alvord, but this sunny day found it left at Decatur.
BNSF 9944 leads a Smithers Lake coal train by the East Siding Switch at Decatur. The train has just cut off the helper motor needed to climb Decatur Hill.
