BL2 57 was paired with F3A 44 for an excursion from Northern Maine Jct. to Milo. A head-on shot is snapped prior to departure from Derby Yard, still in use today by the MM&A.

The BAR was an extraordinary railroad in many ways. Not the least was it's friendship with railfans evidenced here by BL-2 557 "The American Railfan".
