The WB local has "died on the law" and had to tie up short of its destination in Bristol. Here a WB intermodal, probably 22A, screams by in grandeur.

Once again the local has gone "dead on the law" and will wait in Abingdon for a crew to be bused out at a latter time. Three units consists are rare and look, these all match.

Having been in NS Rehab 6088 has been turned around and is running short hood as the official front as it rushes the local back home to Bristol.

Redbug time in Virginia is a favorite for railfanning. The little town of Honaker even has a redbug festival. Here a local is waiting to go west surrounding by the emerging wonders of spring.

I have soft spot for rebuilds, repowers, etc. Here a "catch" is hurrying west toward Bristol, the days work done.

I like SD40-2s but my real favorite of the model is made when you take a "basic" and upgrade it with new innards. The trucks are nicer and the lengthwise etc. it's just more "balanced". As alway... (more)
