The Lake State's night freight catches the first light of the day as it rolls over the Thunder Bay River and into yard limits, completing its journey from Bay City to Alpena.
Train 327a works the yard shortly after sunrise. It's comforting to know that since this photo was taken, the Lake State has been busy repairing it's track.
Back from the dead. After catching fire on the Mackinac Sub. last week LSRC 181 leads train 327a into Alpena in the sweet morning light. I'm very glad to see that this old girl isn't gone.
