Snow continues to obscure the valley below while D797 climbs the grade toward Blue Ridge Summit as they approach the Leathers Rd. crossing.

The sun has already set but the snow continues to fall as D797 crosses Highfield Rd. after working the MMID interchange.

The '797' passes through historic Gettysburg, PA and past one of the most famous and significant station in US history.

The sun is just about set as the '797' crosses Herrs Ridge Rd. on its way back to Hanover after working the MMID interchange in High Field.

A short CSX train gently rolls by mile post 83 of the Hanover Sub while being shadowed by Jacks Mountain.

On a snowy Groundhog Day evening or night rather, D797 grinds its way up the hill through this cut at Highfield.

During intense snowfall the D797 storms up the mountain with a fairly long train, just prior to dusk as a fog was beginning to develop.
