The length of the siding here allowed for an at-speed meet, so timing was pretty good for the KCSM DPU to slide by the accelerating Holiday Express.

This ended up being one of my favorite chases of the year, for numerous reasons. The Holiday Express with "Shreveport" leading back to Shreveport.

The CPKC Holiday Train heads back north from Laredo through the town of Wharton Texas going passed the old Southern Pacific depot at sunset.

Under the cover of darkness, the Kansas City Southern Holiday Express departs Meridian, Miss. for Shreveport, La. led by KCS 2 and the rest of the business entourage.

With the 2022 Christmas Train stop in Meridian well under way, the OCS train idles away in the yard awaiting its call to depart later on in the evening.
