C&NW SD18R 6632 at Kansas City, Missouri in April 1994. C&NW 6622-6643 built as Southern Railway SD24s, rebuilt as SD18R's and derated to 2000hp.

What do you do with a somewhat problematic SD24. Take the turbo out and paint it up real pretty and use it effectively for several years. I like this one.

IIRC, these are Ex-Southern SD-24s derated to 2000 HP by CNW. At this time, CNW power and cabooses seemed to be everywhere.
