During our 1984 trip to Southern California, Santa Fe’s recently-rebuilt GP30’s and GP35’s were a constant presence. Here two GP30’s are assisting a pig train at Cajon Junction.
A pair of Santa Fe GP30’s enters Sullivan’s Curve as it drifts down the Cajon Pass Grade. They have just helped an intermodal train up to Cajon Summit, and are headed for their next push.
