An SD40-2 helper set shoves a loaded train around Breezy Point.

Here I was lucky to get an Oakway on the point of a train, descending the upper horseshoe. Trailing units are SD40-2 7268, SF30C 9546, C30-7 5068 and SD40-2P KCS 616.

A loaded OMAX unit coal train is restarted from a signal check at MP 414.9. Trailing units are SD40-2 7815, SD40-2P KCS 638 and C30-7s 8155 & 5204.

Once a common sight, but becoming a rarity by the time this photo was taken, a solid set of five C30-7s wheel their train around Breezy Point.

For awhile Crawford Hill helper sets carried a fuel tanker. The 7231 set is assisting BNSF 9775 East on the climb over Crawford Hill with a Southwestern Electric Power Co. coal train.

Captured in late-day sun just east of Crawford, a BNSF coal empty coasts down from Crawford Hill as it heads back to the Powder River Basin for a reload.
