The differences between the "small" Mallet 440 08 (built in 1915) and the larger 442 59 (built in 1938) can clearly be seen on this picture. The 440 08 has since been restored to working order.

The Eritrean's sole serviceable Breda 0-4-0T waters inside the shed. This engine has very small water capacity which severely limits its usefulness.
