Early when only a few SD70Ms roamed the UP system, UP 4000 is captured as the sun sets leading the IAPOA-19 at James, CA.

On 5 May 2004, UP 4859 is in charge of the IOALBR-4. In this scene the Southbound train has made a short pause at Bakersfield, CA at the UP yard for a crew change.

In November of 2016, UP 7469 paused at Winterhaven California waiting its turn for a crew change at Yuma. The slight pause enabled the timing of this photo.
