The TCDD 44 071 is a Prussian G8. It is preserved in very good condition in the Usak shed. Unfortunately, it is not (yet?) in working order.
The last runpast before the storm.
This is the only brickwork tunnel portal that we have seen during our one week trip through Western Turkey. It is located on the line between Dinar and Isparta near Karakuyu.
After a runpast with the 56 548, the DE24 203 that was attached at the rear of our charter is bringing the train back so that the group can board the train and continue to the next photo stop.
The water crane and the water tower should be OK to supply sufficient water for the 56 548. unfortunately, both of them are today out of use.
