An eastbound BNSF manifest freight passes under the now gone signal bridge just west of Mojave, California. This bridge was one of the last remaining SP signals on UP's Mojave Sub.

With its trip over Tehachapi Pass complete, BNSF 8397 works on a clear as it leads an eastbound Q train toward home rails for the fast paced run to Barstow before continuing east.

EMD power leads a northbound loaded grain train north of Mojave as climbs the east slide of Tehachapi Pass in the late afternoon.

Southbound BNSF No. 8142 with a mixed manifest gets the green to proceed to Barstow. Westbound Union Pacific No. 5937 and Union Pacific No. 5839 wait their turn to proceed to Palmdale.
