Months before PC was able to jettison passenger service under the Amtrak umbrella, one of 75 ex-PRR E8's leads this ramshackle remnant of the once great fleet past the eyes of the Operator at MG.

Like everywhere else in the world, steam locomotives are attracting people! The 99 7245 is getting some water at the Drei Annen Hohne station before returning to Eisfelder Talmühle.

The first train to leave Wernigerode at 7.25 am is the railcar to Illfeld. Mist was still hanging around as the train reached the Drei Annen Hohne station.

The last train of the day climbing up to the Brocken has left the HSB Wernigerode main station at 4.25 pm. It is seen here running through the famous Kirchstrasse in Hasserode.
