Central Vermont GP9 4927 was built in 1957 for passenger service, with air reservoirs were relocated to the roof to make room under the frame for a large water tank for steam generation.
Things were fairly quiet in Central Vermont’s St. Albans yard when a Lamoille Valley caboose hop arrived from the east. Alone CN M420 is waiting to work its way back north of the border.
