V28 leads V10 through Dargan on an afternoon service to Lithgow. The leading half of V10 is now scrapped, and V28 is now awaiting the same fate.

V14 travels on the main suburban past Summer Hill on a Lithgow to Sydney service. It was withdrawn on the 19th of November that year and sent to the scrappers on the 5th of December.

V44 stands at the end of platform 9 at Central after uncoupling from V28, ready for the last run of W593 as a V set, suitably adorned with farewell headboards.
