UP 7280 has topped Knapp hill and picks up a bit of speed as it approaches the 310th St. crossing at Wilson, WI on its run from Altoona to the Twin Cities.

A unit sand train battles gravity on the way up Knapp Hill on the Altoona Sub. The tonnage would prove to be too much for the trio of locomotives and some cars would be set out at the next siding.

MBUVP is in the company notch as they work their way up Knapp Hill. Consist included two CNW patched SD40-2's and one patched SP GP40-2.
