3482, 3438 & 3467 approach Sturgis whilst hauling the Belle Turn to Rapid City

LBFRC is just cresting the grade to begin the decent that will take the train under Interstate 90.

The engineer pours the coals to his three SD40-2s as he takes his train towards Rapid City.

LBFRC has just passed through Sturgis on the way to Rapid City.

The Bell Fourche to Rapid City turn has a new crew aboard, and they're on the move. The train is crossing the bridge that spans Bear Butte Creek, just West of Sturgis.

The Westbound LBFRC is approaching Sturgis.

With a heavy train for Rapid City, the Belle Fourche turn screams out of Sturgis with three of RCPEs finest up front.

The RCPE Belle Fourche to Rapid City turn is about to duck under Interstate 90, as they head towards RC.

RCPE 3446 leads the LBFRC along the Black Hills with a train of bentonite clay loads. At Rapid City they will swap out their train for empties to eventually be ordered and loaded at Colony, WY.
