UP 4186 rolls West on the UP Sharon Springs Sub. There have been a few times where the former KP line's future was in jeopardy, but at least for now, a few trains a day run over these rails.

A coal service SD40-2 (SD40-2c to MP) teams with two more SD40s to take a grain extra off the Salina branch. Regular trains on the branch typically rated just a pair of GP38s.

ATSF GP30 sits at the station, with UP's station in the distance. UP's station was a union station, serving UP (Kansas Pacific), ATSF, MP and CRI&P.
