Two SW1's and an SW7 are tied down at the enginehouse across the river from Dardanelle, AR in 1981. Both 16 and 17 (the SW7) were formerly C&EI units.

Both of these Dardanelle & Russellville switchers are backed all of the way into the engine shelter. It's interesting that only a portion of these relatively small engines fit under the roof.

The stack is capped but parts are scatttered all over the running boards and I don't think this one has run in a long time. BTW as of today, the only Arkansas S-1 unloaded by anybody.
Pretty much as built. In looking at rosters I've noticed how the SW-7s were relatively unusual compared to the 9s.
Marked as a real oldy by its two step slope the cab, this little goat is appeared to be occasionally active.
