Colorado Pacific Rio Grande CXRG SD70MAC #303 leads the Walsenburg turn back west to Alamosa as they pass through Fort Garland, CO.
CXRG 303 passes the entrance to Forbes Park as the climb up LaVeta Pass starts. Unfortunately much of the pass is inaccessible in large part to the neighborhood having security gates.
The Colorado Pacific takes off east out of Fort Garland as they prepare to run over LaVeta with cars for the UP interchange at Walsenburg.
