Hoopers quickly pass through Dickert behind three CSX engines. Today all its power is on the front end, but generally one locomotive brings up the rear.
The last train before sunset is operating with BNSF power and a little over 5,000 feet of containers. Within an hour another train will roll through but in darkness.
On a clear day, intermodal containers roll over the mainline stacked behind BNSF power through Dickert. A meet between this train and Q185 will happen not far from here in Wadley.
A friend of mine occupies the conductor seat of this intermodal train as it rolls north through Dickert. Looks like this 20 year old beast could use a little soap and water.
