Actually, that lead unit, is a SD40X, which was essentially an SD40 demo. There were several built, some with flared radiators, some without. They were built on SD35 frames and are a bit shorter than a SD40 or SD45. Awesome shot, anyway!

Too bad the D&H had to be taken over by CP, because they had a diesel fleet second to very few for having oddballs around. And to think D&H dieselized with S2s, S4s, RS2s and RS3s- period.
