That's quite an interesting wrap around snowplow/pilot on the front the locomotive. I've never seen one like that before.

The original large snowplow was last installed in 2006–2007 and was now reinstalled for the winter of 2026 (requiring about a day’s work by several people). It is no longer actually needed, as the tracks are cleared using modern snowplows or snowblowers.
