Is the locomotive fuel source coal or wood? I'm sure the fuel source is coal, but the tender has a railing on it that looks like there is wood inside it.

The locomotive is fired with Welsh coal, which is delivered in 20-kg plastic bags and stacked on the tender. In the past, it was often fired partly with coal briquettes, which were stacked all around the tender.
