That's not exactly one of New Orleans's older streetcars. Take a look at the wheels and trucks. This track is part of the St. Charles Ave. line, which operates with a mix of (1) relatively original 1923-24 Perley Thomas streetcars, which are numbered in the 900s, and (2) these mashups, which are numbered in the 400s. As I recall, the 'guts' were bought in eastern Europe in the 1990s, modified to fit New Orleans's broad-gauge streetcar lines, and mated with older-style car bodies. This car, No. 461, used to be painted red and used on the Riverfront line. See e.g. my photo from 2003, at https://www.railpictures.net/photo/135972/. I suspect the reason the St. Charles line runs two types is to keep relatively original the older cars, but provide another group of cars that are handicapped-accessible.
