Looked the place up on Google Maps and learned that is a lake, not an inlet from the sea. Also learned that spelling counts: Oulad Ayyad is a rural commune with population of just over 9,000 in north central Morocco; and Oulad Ayad with just one y is a city with population over 21,000 in western Morocco, about a 6 hour drive away.
