You’ve got your locations mixed up. This is Tomkinsville on the South Shore Line. The St. George freight yard and car float operation was west of the St. George Ferry Terminal on the North Shore Line. Which is also where the “Million Dollar Wall” is. It starts near Westervelt Avenue and extends al the way to the Ferry Terminal. A LOT of development has occurred since I’ve been there, so the big wall is not fully apparent along its entire length. The minor league ballpark was built on part of the old St. George rail yard site.
