Excellent, what a rare catch! She looks fantastic. How long did she wear this paint scheme?

Surfing around the internet it appears the XR designation came about the time EMD was offering its Dash-2 locomotive designs. The XR was a predecessor to the GE Dash-7 series and some websites have said it included steel-capped pistons and a pressurized electrical cabinet thought I was under the impression may have been found earlier as the U25 series did have pressurized engine compartments at the time other locomotives still had removeable air filters located along the hoods.
