One of the many attributes of this excellent photo is that nothing in the slide can be photographed today. A few years ago, I attended a meeting at a hotel on this property and from what I saw there was nothing left of this shrine to Alcos. I did not have time to do any exploring, but the area has been converted to mostly upscale hotels and the like. I kind of felt guilty from staying at a hotel on what used to be part of the Colonie complex. Thanks very much for posting this.
