A number of interesting details in this scene. I can't make out word above track on that concrete post. And speaking of things on posts, that bell on striped post is very much of interest.

After building numerous steam locomotives in the steam era for many years, Baldwin's late effort to jump into manufacturing diesels yielded unique motive power and was unfortunately too little too late sealing their fate building diesel locomotives. Nice photo and thanks for sharing.

This unit was repowered with EMD engines. Note how the lower hoods slope upwards to meet the BLW cab height and the way it slopes inward (and the handrail stanchions slope outward) to accommodate the wider car body.
