No. 17 was about 1¼ mi. (2-kM) W/b from “Range” on that second Saturday near mid-March of 1982, w/“Dotsero” some 10+ mi. (16+kM) ahead-of D&RGW’s F-7A #5771 down alongside the upper Colorado R.’s W (Lt.) bank. Was due by the latter some 3 min. after Noon-MT, assuming it departed Bond “o.-t.” @ 11:30A-MT (which it likely did given the sun’s apparent position then). Interesting “going-away” tele’ there from off the NW side of what’s now the Colorado R. Rd., about ¼ mi. (0.4-Km) NE-of the dome-lounge obs. “Silver Sky”on the rear.
