I'm not up to date current on happenings on the Hudson Bay Railway. Is the operation under threat? How long have those locos been parked there prompting your comment about not turning a wheel? Thank you.

No, the railroad isn't under any threat. The rumour is that these engines are too heavy and had been damaging the track considerably in certain areas. SD60M 6002 has been abandoned in a backtrack near Wabowden, MB since its very first trip where it tore up some track. Wild! They do run a couple of these engines regularly (6003 and 6004). I imagine some modifications have been made to them.
