? 2-262 was near M/p 1766.3 on the then Rocky Mountain Division's 6th subdivision approaching the rockshed (partially-visible @ extreme-Lt.) projecting-from the W portal of Kyle Tunnel ? 33 (462 ft. long, Kyle w/its 1,863 ft. passing siding was near M/p 1765.5). Pilot of that EF-4 was then about 6¾ mi.E/b from "Avery" and about 3/8 of-the-way up the 16 mi. 1.70% (compensated) ascent of St. Paul Pass' W side. White poles seen above the main line were weathered cedar supporting the communications and signals lines.
