Top Shot on this great photo. The rugged O Milwaukee Road keeping the rails polished and the cargo rolling on down the line. I thought the electrifacatiion was the smartest thing for a railroad to use for power as it could be recycled and used again. What a saving on fuel and less pollution. Basic common sense. Thx Rob.

T'were some gen-you-ine "hunks o'50's iron" parked across-from where that carman was standing then. Engineers/conductors just needed some "basic-functioning all-weather" transportation to drive t'weenst home (in town) and the depot. Also note '64 Dodge "cab-over" co. pickup just-beyond that "car-toady" was his means to/from the shops, and (like all Chrysler/Dodge products MILW owned then) had the "3-on-a-tree" column-shift manual transmission. Train was No.264 w/Locotrol-equipped "master" unit GP-40 #2059 leading. and image was likewise also "posted" on TO (last in trio, ref: https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?11,6035595,6035785#msg-6035785) again w/"June" claimed-for month original slide taken.
