Nick, Thank you for a fantastic catch here and for letting us know of their upcoming end on that line. Where might the Alcos go?

From what I've heard, the Alcos across the various LA&L properties (LA&L, WNY&P, B&H, OMID) are available for sale to interested parties. The big 6-axle MLWs at WNYP have been sold to GVT, one of the WNYP C430s went to Adirondack Railroad, the WNYP RS-3u went to Arcade & Attica, the RS-11 and RS-36 at OMID were sold to Batten Kill/SNEX. Some of the old switchers, like the S-4 at the OMID, or the stuff that was out of service due to severe issues, like LA&L RS-36 418 and LA&L C424 319, have been scrapped. I've heard that a "museum in Connecticut" is interested in C425 425 due to it being in great shape and the last New Haven C425 in existence.

Thank you Nick. I really prefer to see them in freight service, but museums are always better than being scrapped.
