Have 611 and 1218 been retired?! I know they haven't run for a while but are they done for good?

I know that NS has retired the 611. I think that the state of Va owns it.

1218 was set aside in NS shops for a scheduled overhaul when NS decided to keep her there. An O.Winston Link Ceramony put 1218 out of the shops and on display in the Virginia Museum of Transportation. May be wrong but heard they stoped running them because of Mechanical and Insurance Costs.

I never saw them run, I wish I could see #1218 run again, but probably never will.
