Cesar Vegara's design is now nearly 40 years old yet its angular nose and flat sides still looks modern and has provided a space for perhaps more color schemes than any other locomotive in recent years. Think of the various Amtrak designs, plus those from MetroNorth, VIA and now this. With new wheelsets it looks like the new owners plan to hang on to these for a while.

While it's cool to see different paint on these units, I feel like this scheme could've been so much better. The number doesn't fit on the flat part of the carbody, the railroad name isn't centered vertically on the silver stripe, and the dual logos on the nose is weird to me. All in all an uninspired scheme. Oh well

Spotless! And seeing them in what could be a fantasy scheme is pretty neat.

I believe the Keewatin Railway P40DCs have a lineage that goes as follows: 2506-2509 are former Amtrak 801-803 and 839 respectively.
