A good looking locomotive. I notice that this is a six axle design and was wondering if this is common on European electrics, as I can't recall seeing this before. Thank you for all your photographs.

Yes, the major manufacturers Siemens and Alstom only build 4-axle electric locomotives in large series. StadlerRail has recognized a niche and is beginning to fill it with six-axle locomotives. More often, such a locomotive can then replace a double traction of four-axle locomotives.
