Nice shot, but what I'm wondering is what's with that rail in the foreground? Was that an old spur? An old crossing with another line? Or what? -- Joe H.

If I understand correctly, that old rail was the right of way for the Aurora Branch Railroad. It connected with the Chicago and Galena Union nearby. Aurora Branch became the BNSF, and the CGU became Chicago and Northwestern.
