I'm thinking the grade of those rails is around 80 percent - the steepest I've ever seen! All kidding aside, interesting photo.

Well, an "80 percent" grade would have a vertical rise of 4 to a horizontal run of 5, the above looks more like a rise of 5 to a run of 1 (if not steeper) for a "500%+" grade . . . for those who recall WWII it looks more like a Polish Kreigslok imitating a V2 . . . just a question of where it's aimed . . .
