Can’t understand why most Amtrak units aren’t double ended, even if it does make them “pointless”. They spend a fortune turning locomotives. I hope at least one of the Euroblobs is preserved. As a guy who was in the equipment business I cringe seeing the salvage value of costly parts being thrown away. Things like headlights, ditch lights and their modules etc. cost a bunch new or used.

I Agree Mr Vaught ! The Wipers , Mirrors , all the Lighting could have been stripped off for usable Parts
