Is it just the angle or did they really make the cab shorter in the front?

David H: The CBRW was rebuilt in 1991 after MRL acquired it from EJE. The cab was replaced with a wrecked MRL SD40 cab along with the nose being chopped and a new fuel tank from a GP38. It was upgraded to Dash 2 standards. MRL classified it as a SD19-1. When it came to CBRW they simply classified it as a SD9 rather than the MRL classification or as a SD9R, etc. It was used on the MRL passenger specials along with MRL 652 another unit from that project.
