You are right, this bridge is still impressive even after all these years. To me, it is one of the most impressive structures in the U.S. To truly appreciate its size you must stand next to it or ride across it. And to think that the designers used pencil on paper and a true understanding of mathematics and engineering mechanics, back when there was no computers or maybe even slide rules.
