Thanks for the background information about this rail yard light. I've seen these interesting lights numerous times when I've been to Altoona. Imagine the stories these lights could tell about the many PRR locomotives that once operated in the abandoned rail yard behind this light assembly. The surrounding area in your photo was once filled with yard rails, but it is now a place for weeds, trees, and other foliage.
