Another hideous paint scheme, BN green was terrible, especially considering the classic paint jobs it replaced.

I noticed that I find both these paint schemes fine on their own but don't like them in combination, *unlike* most other mixes.

Certainly no worse than the ubiquitous orange and black BNSF nowadays, and at least the units have a road name on them rather than letters. Yeah, I'll take 'em.

I agree that the current BNSF paint scheme looks like a circus train, as did the hideous Chessie System scheme. Never cared for BN green, but it sure isn't gaudy like BNSF. No matter how much lipstick you put on a pig, it is still a pig. But there again I grew up with PC black and CR patched units, so I thought UP was gaudy, then I realized that it was the fact that they were CLEAN!!!!
