Nice photo. I like the fact that UP ties freight cars to her consist. It has that 'Since you're heading that way, take these freight cars with you' look to it. I'm sure the freight cars were also added to test the 4014's pulling ability since she recently awoke from her recent slumber.

Nice photo! The freight cars are most likely to provide braking effort. While the diesel can provide dynamics, when running air brakes it's much easier to stop a longer train than a shorter one as you have more brake shoes applying.
